This massage uses deeper pressure and typically focuses on a specific region of the body (e.g. the legs in runners). Its aim is to alleviate soreness, untie painful knots, relieve muscle and tendon pain, speed up the recovery time of an injury and improve sports performance. It is particularly beneficial for athletes, but non-athletes may also benefit. There are 3 types of sports massage: pre-event, post-event and maintenance, each with their own set of massage techniques.

This 30-minute treatment, which is provided seated, focuses on the shoulders, scalp and face. By relaxing tense muscles in these areas and improving circulation, it may help ease migraines and tension headaches, relieve eye strain, and even stimulate healthy hair growth.
